Charlene earned her BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Brown University in 2016. She is currently a PhD student in Dr. Bruce Sullenger’s Lab.

Charlene is interested in drug discovery and development and is currently working on improving anticoagulation during cardiopulmonary bypass surgery through the use of novel RNA aptamers.
